Cozy B&Bs

In Biei, there are many B&Bs with a cozy atmosphere. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and interact with the owner!

Pension Tomte Rum (トムテルム)

Located on a patchwork hill, Tomte run is a B&B that is limited to 5 groups per day. Tomte run means “tomte” (forest fairy) and “rum” (room) in Swedish. The building is a Scandinavian imported house called Sweden House, and outside the large windows you can enjoy a magnificent view of the vast hills and the Tokachi mountain range.

The interior of the guest room is also Scandinavian-style with a focus on solid wood furniture. In addition to twin rooms, triple rooms, and Japanese-style rooms, there is one premium “Scandinavian Room Musig” that focuses on Scandinavian interiors.

There are no TVs in the building or rooms, but instead there are books, picture books, imported European board games, etc., so you can spend a relaxing time away from everyday life!

The hill behind the building is a great spot for sunsets. On a clear night, the sky is full of stars, and shooting stars are clearly visible. You can enjoy a beautiful starry sky that cannot be seen in the city.

For dinner, we use as many local and Hokkaido ingredients as possible to create European-style creative dishes that are gentle on the mind and body. In addition, the breakfast is a Western-style plate, and you can enjoy homemade sausages, natural yeast bread from the next door “Bread Kobo Komuhatake”, and coffee from the home-roasted coffee shop “Kita Kobo” in Biei.
